Hello, Kettle? This is pot…

This weekend, Marty posted blog entry entitled Scientoligy Inc’s Mafia-like Censorship. I always laugh when Marty complains about censorship, since he engages in censorship himself. But reading the blog entry, I think I’ve discovered the root of the problem. (Or, as LRH might put it, “After careful investigation, I have discovered the real cause. I am the first and only person in 86,302,000,000,000,004 years to do so, and you must follow my instructions EXACTLY to avoid getting deathly ill, so get out your checkbook and follow me!”)

Sorry.

Anyway, I’ve discovered the problem: Marty has a misunderstood word*. Censorship.

(*According to Scientology, misunderstood words are the root of countless problems, which is funny considering how many words Hubbard re-defined. Scientologists are big on dictionary definitions, although Hubbardian definitions take priority.)

Webster’s dictionary defines “censor” as “to examine in order to suppress or delete anything considered objectionable ; also, to suppress or delete as objectionable.” Wikipedia defines “censorship” as “suppression of speech or other communication which may be considered objectionable, harmful, sensitive, or inconvenient to the general body of people as determined by a government, media outlet, or other controlling body.”

Marty’s example of censorship: WordPress cut off his posting access because they received complaints that he was sending out spam emails. They shut him down for a day, sent him a reprimand email, and turned his account back on.

Assuming the accusations were false, that’s not censorship. It’s harassment.

Webster’s Dictionary definition of harass: “to annoy persistently; to create an unpleasant or hostile situation for especially by uninvited and unwelcome verbal or physical conduct; to worry and impede by repeated raids.”)

As for “mafia-style,” the only form of censorship practiced by the mafia is execution. “Mafia-style” censorship is a lot more permanent than what happened to Marty.

Now, I’m going to take Marty’s word that he wasn’t sending out spam emails (although the Admin Tech’s policy on marketing does essentially condone spamming**). Assuming the complaints were malicious — and we’re dealing with the Church of Scientology, so they probably were — I’m sure this was intentional harassment.

So why does Marty call this censorship? Perhaps he’s applying LRH’s “Positioning” tech (a bastardized form of Trout & Reis’ marketing classic). Here’s Hubbard:

“Positioning takes advantage of a fact that one can compare the thing he is trying to get the other person to understand with desirable or undesirable objects… by comparing something he wants people to detest to an undesirable thing, he can achieve a rapid communication and comparison.

“We know people loathe psychiatry, so we communicate something as being loathsome as saying it is below (worse than) psychiatry. We could also make people think something was good by saying it was against psychiatry, bad because it would bring them to psychiatry, or awful because it used psychiatrists (like the tax people).” — LRH, HCO PL 30 January 1979, POSITIONING, PHILOSOPHIC THEORY

If Marty does actually know what censorship means, and he knows that the public loathes censorship, he could be trying to position the Church’s actions as censorship to make them seem more detestable.

The problem with this theory is that a) the public loathes harassment, too, and b) his readers already loathe the Church. So maybe Marty really doesn’t understand the concept of censorship. No one ever accused Scientology education and training of turning out rocket scientists. (Or nuclear physicists.)

What makes this ironic is that Marty himself practice censorship. He deletes comments that he considers objectionable.

This, of course, is his right. But to Marty, “objectionable content” includes factual evidence that the crimes he accuses DM of committing are based in LRH policy. In other words, Marty won’t print the truth if it’s inconvenient to his cause.

When your philosophy is basically wrong, censorship is the last line of defense. Marty isn’t just censoring in the name of good taste; he is deliberately misleading and misdirecting his readers.

Just like his idol L. Ron Hubbard.

And his arch-nemesis David Miscavige.

(** An interesting side note: Alhough LRH’s management system (the Admin Tech) does not mention spamming per se, following the admin tech requires sending unsolicited communications in ever-increasing numbers in order to increase statistics. I don’t think Marty has enough followers to constitute spamming, and most would probably agree to receive email, but a spam complaint isn’t outside the realm of belief.)

Hello…..earth calls moon……or Xenu planet lol

You can not see your own patterns from inside, bing trapped in it!

To see if you are stuck in a patter, it takes a willingness to at least look at if from an exterior viewpoint. But how can you trust any exterior viewpoint as a scientologist..wog viewpoints are wrong, spy viewpoints are evil, journalists viewpoints are evil, ex-scn viewpoints are from hatred, critics viewponts are evi…etc…etc…etc

I don’t think Marty has misunderstood word.
Marty has ”scientology” definition and perversion of words like Freedom , human rights, ethics, as long time scientologists naight have and stick too.

Marty cannot think one second that his definitions and concepts have been altered from what it was first..as LRH build a complete new dictionnary wich is a very smart way to implant new ways of thinking.

As en example – in scientology the right to speak is for scientologist to talk about the scientology and against anything else other
but it doesn’t exists at all for a person to speak her mind against scientology or any criminal behavior within…
At that point is it not freedom of speak ..Ron invented a new concept and definition for it:
    It is a criminal mind.
So they ask the critics : What are your crimes..tell me your crimes.. lol

As a cientologist, you would be given (no choice of refusing) a security check with a special list prepare just for you.

….”do you hava any disagreement with Ron or David Miscavige”
    ”euh…I had a tought about Ron :
I think he did a mistake for the rpf..that it ressemble punisment”

”O.K. you are going to be rehabilited for your criminal taughts and behavior and send immediately to the RPF for 5 years”

But do not despair..There is the CCHR to save you
    Commission for Citizen Human Rights…
    The scientology scam.

So…is the any sens of minimal concept of Freedom. of human rights, right to expression or anything else ????
I guess no…this is a totalitarian cult . Freedom doesn exists within totalitarian organisation wich are not in the business of making people happy….

  2. of course marty was spamming.
he wants to be the new DM.

  3. You can see the frustration in Marty’s blog every day. I think what bothers him the most is that he doesn’t have the resources to do away with DM. Even when he is posting ‘docs’ there is still no way to verify that they are real (I can make better PDF’s than he does, at least make them more realistic).
I think when he left he actually had NO docs and what he does have is an ever-older memory, sometimes aided by others who may or may not have actually left with docs. So Marty isn’t quite the thorn in the side of DM that he thinks he is.
Couple with that the constant suppression of anything Elron that proves that DM is simply following Elrons edicts to the letter, and Marty’s suppression of any opposing views, and you can see where Marty etc. won’t get very far. If it weren’t for Anonymous reading his blog every day he would have only 30 or 40 hits per day.

  4. A good comment. I agree on the documents and have complained bitterly about them – however it has been viewed that I disagree with helping Tory.

The bottom line is that if the docs were real, Tory could sue – and win. But they are not real. I am shocked that other web forums are mirroring the documents, treating them as legitimate with absolutely no verification process.

I had always good things to say about Mark Bunker’s site and then I saw him posting the same document – the Church can now debunk this web site and others and point to the fact they are using false documents to black PR the truth – and it is a fact.

It is almost like making a document to prove the USA went into Iraq and did a couple of shady things – was it really needed? Was it not so obvious? Is there any vindication in “a document”.

Marty is no thorn to DM. Paul Haggis however is probably going to turn into The C of S’s greatest thorn because he sadly is an opinion leader, and while he is a good spokesperson, generally those that have the most info on the C of S because they are not celebs, are listened to a little and then forgotten.

Having said that, Paul is being smart, and I wish him the best.

Does anyone else find it amusing that Marty can even exist, and that Indis would be suckered twice after the first time claiming to have wised up? It is a bit of a running joke.

  5. In Torys case, even if the documents were verified authentic, I doubt she would sue… Its the one thing that most frustrates me, watching the ESMB and other exes talking…. They talk, talk, talk, talk, but simply don’t think to legally assert their rights.

I don’t know if they just can’t ditch the indoctrination not to go for outside help, but for cripes sake they don’t even go to the police when a cult member breaks into their home, or harass them at work or follow them around… So actually suing them, is beyond their thinking.

Whenever I read the marty posts all I can think of is the line in a movie..
“Uh, I don’t think that word means what you think it means.”

  6. Sorry to stray a little off topic – but remember the blunder of DM calling Cruise the most valuable scientologist – or some such? ( I don’t remember the wording exactly). Something that cuffed the value and actual work of real SO and staff members.

Anyway, this was the first thing that came to mind when reading this headline on Marty’s blog “The Hardest Working Man in the Independent Movement”.

  7. to my opinion

but all discussions about this situation , the dox, the validity of proofs, the allegations are all falling under the same issue to me:

    Dead agent policy

These people , Miscavige, OSA, AND Marty are all weel traned for decades to Dead Agent the ”evil” ennemy with the policy written by Elwrong hubblurb. This is an operation that intent to control public and official and leaders opinion about a person – critics-sp group or any true or false allegation about, the cult, El Wrong, Miscavige or pers haps..Marty and with thi op , attempt to discredite the ennemy an KO him.

Please note this essay from the late Robert Vaughn Young.
It would say that it is evident that trained people with the dead agent and Sp doctrines do not have any clue of what is a true investigations, allegations. proofs, trial, justice as applied in ”the wog world”
Unfortunately they think that their way of spreading anything on anyone si granted for thruth and evidence. They are right..most of people accept any destroying allegation as being true. The pay hollywood an celeb scrap paper to read it.

The Georges Orwell 1984 , resemble the cult, in just a difference that the cult is wirst that the fiction in this case.

The cult word is a word of illusions and appearances and to keep control of it. No matter it’s within or out..the doctrine has been installed within mind and behavior.
    Quote Robert Vaughn Young

    6. A dead what?

Depending on your story angle, you can easily find yourself buried by packs of documentation. Some are called “DA [dead agent] packs.” Hubbard took the phrase from Sun-tzu’s “The Art of War,” in which different types of agents are described. The “dead agent” is the one who is caught in a lie. The “DA pack” is supposed to counter a lie (thereby rendering the liar “dead” as a credible source) and usually addresses a particular document, from a newspaper article to a book. It is also used to discredit a person or a group that may be a source of criticism of Scientology.

A DA pack can include anything from Hubbard’s writings to a piece of press to an affidavit obtained by a private investigator. The purpose is to refute the targeted piece, person or group at virtually any cost. If the article presents no clear-cut falsehoods or errors but paints Scientology in an unfavorable light, the DA becomes a general reply (usually an attack on the source) that may be issued as a pamphlet, an ad, or an article.

Where possible, verify the claims or documentation. Contact the targeted person, group, or author of the article. Also take note of what is not refuted or challenged. In Scientology, omission can be as good as admission.

You can ask to talk to the people who produced the DA pack, but chances are you will not be allowed to, because they are not trained to deal with the media. In Scientology, only trained PRs are supposed to talk to the press. If an exception is made, it will be only those that are proofed up or drilled or have a proven track record of talking to the media about Scientology, and then it is often with a PR present. (A recent example will be found in the September issue of Premiere. The reporter was denied access to Hollywood celebrities in Scientology.) If you can do it, find some staff members who will talk to you. Find some field Scientologists to interview. You’ll learn more from them.
    7. Go for the gold.

In Scientology, there is an exact chain of command. Each organization has one. The public version is supposed to be posted on a large wall of the organization. It should show the local position of your PR What will not be shown is his or her chain of command.

The media are handled by the Office of Special Affairs, or OSA, in the Church of Scientology. The OSA PR will have a senior on the PR chain of command. If the PR is a local OSA staff member (meaning the PR for a city or area), his or her senior will be at the continental level (such as OSA United States, located in Los Angeles) and then at the “int” or international level (OSA Int is also in L.A.). After that, the chain of command jumps to the Religious Technology Center (RTC). In highly unusual circumstances, an RTC official will intervene to handle a journalist, particularly if it is a crucial story for one reason or another, because RTC monitors all OSA activity and is ultimately responsible for any media on Scientology, whether good or bad.

RTC’s chairman of the board is David Miscavige, who is now the admitted head of the Church of Scientology. His latest intervention will be found in the October issue of Premiere magazine. For any story on Scientology, Miscavige is the one to be interviewed. He lives on the Golden Era Productions property at Gilman Hot Springs. The PR assigned to you will know how to get a message to him. If all else fails, call Golden Era Productions. The personnel there know how to reach him.

    Conclusion.

Scientology is in a state of siege with psychiatry, the media, and anything else perceived as attacking Hubbard or the organization. It has been that way since Hubbard named them as enemies decades ago. Talk to a Scientology PR long enough, and you may begin to sense something vaguely familiar about the attitude. walk through a Scientology office, and the proliferation of photographs and busts of Hubbard may strike a familiar chord.

Just substitute “Sea Organization” for “Party” in the following passage, and the chilling parallel may be evident:
“Even the humblest Party member is expected to be competent, industrious, and even intelligent within narrow limits, but it is also necessary that he should be a credulous and ignorant fanatic whose prevailing moods are fear, hatred, adulation, and orgiastic triumph. In other words it is necessary that he should have the mentality appropriate to a state of war. It does not matter whether the war is actually happening, and, since no decisive victory is possible, it does not matter whether the war is going well or badly. All that is needed is that a state of war should exist. The splitting of the intelligence which the Party requires of its members, and which is more easily achieved in an atmosphere of war, is now almost universal, but the higher up the ranks one goes, the more marked it becomes. It is precisely in the Inner Party that war hysteria and hatred of the enemy are strongest. In his capacity as an administrator, it is often necessary for a member of the Inner Party to know that this or that item of war news is untruthful, and he may often be aware that the entire war is spurious and is either not happening or is being waged for purpose quite other than the declared ones; but such knowledge is easily neutralized by the technique of double-think meanwhile no Inner Party member wavers for an instant in his mystical belief that the war is real, and that it is bound to end victoriously, with Oceania the undisputed master of the entire world.” — George Orwell, “1984”

    End of quote.

My way of seeing things my not be too much of interest becauses it doesn’t Dead Agent anybody… but I make a point of trying to make people understant the roots of scientologists beleifs and behavior. The endoctrinment, thought by the founder EL WRONG that for sure is never wrong – nor to say he his the reincarnatin of the west Buddha (lol)

So Why Marty would behave like a ”wog” viewpoint of justice, right to speak, the non-censhorship of critics censored from totalitarian and narcissic personnalities as they cannot confront any controversy or critics.
That was Ron behavior that was how he trained OSA, GO and SO with his ling years of endoctrinement perpetuated with Miscavige his true loyal follower.

    But who care?

Marty is just having somne indies in mutual agreement with him and drinking his Koolaid . And it gives Marty a website to keep going with people to reach for his auditing wich is for sure good money.

My point is: DO EXPECT a true LRH beleiver to act as A TRUE LRH doctrine FOLLOWER. Do not expect he act as a WOG.

  8. A while back, Miscavige’s mafia also shot pizzas at Marty, censoring his peace of mind and shattering his pizza of a mind. Also, it threatened to censor his financial stability.

  9. Pizza vendors in Marty’s sector of the galaxy should know that he doesn’t order out for pizza anyway. When he makes his own from scratch, he first emeters the tomatoes using standard tech, and then hits them with a hammer, since they scream when sliced.

Okay forget that. Did you see him torture that fish?
