A few words from LRH

“We of the Church believe… that all men have inalienable rights to talk freely, to write freely their own opinions and to counter or utter or write upon the opinions of others.” — L. Ron Hubbard

Source: Church of Scientology Creed

“Crimes [include] holding Scientology materials up to ridicule, contempt or scorn. Suppressive Acts include public disavowal of Scientology… public statements against Scientology… voting for legislation or ordinances, rules or laws directed towards the Supression of Scientology… testifying hostilely before state or public inquiries into Scientology… [and] writing anti-Scientology letters to the press.

“Persons or groups that [commit suppressive acts] cannot be granted the rights and beingness ordinarily accorded rational beings.” — L. Ron Hubbard

  1. That speaks volumes!
Sure to elicit volumes of righteous justification as well.
What a wonderful flyer or poster titled “contrary facts” that would make.

    Thanks, Caliwog

  2. This is not justification for the apparent contradiction above, but consider the possibility that to counter another’s idea or opinion does not necessitate using ridicule, contempt or scorn. In that context, the two statements you have posted above do not contradict each other.

I think the church has gone overboard and stupid on all these points, painting someone as suppressive for simply having a counter-idea.

  3. Oh OTDT…I gotta say; to the guy on the street — ME — this is a HUGE contradiction in terms. old L Ron makes it quite clear what the “Church” believes;
We of the Church believe… that all men have inalienable rights to talk freely, to write freely their own opinions and to counter or utter or write upon the opinions of others.” — L. Ron Hubbard

Maybe I haven’t reached my own level of having’est or being’est or what ever, but i really dont care how much ridicule you use or don’t use, Hubbard’s statement is in complete opposition to how Scientology operates, independent of the “church” or not.

    TTFN

  4. OTDT, I gotta disagree. The policy includes “public disavowal of Scientology… public statements against Scientology” as not just a crime, but a suppressive act. It doesn’t say a public statement or disavowal must include ridicule or scorn. It simply says public disavowal and/or statements against.

Scientologists have been declared for speaking the truth without ridicule or scorn, period.

  5. That’s it -!

public statements against Scientology” as not just a crime, but a suppressive act

a suppressive act is a high crime and result to a suppressive person declaration

A supressive person declared should be driven per ”fair games policy” from any scientologist

So for anyone – to speak freely his mind – puts him at high risk to be:
(SPs may be “tricked, sued, or lied to or destroyed”*)

But – as Ron said , and we scientologists are proud of :
“We of the Church believe… that all men have inalienable rights to talk freely, to write freely their own opinions and to counter or utter or write upon the opinions of others.” — L. Ron Hubbard

    Isn’t beautiful!
in the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed is king

If one doesn’t see the contradiction that is jumping right on the face – he has to get healed of blindness or mental inhability to confront reality.

    * repeating the same thing act as reinforcement – being true or false!

  6. There’s no contradiction.

People have inalienable rights. No government or church can take away our rights.

The U.S. Bill of Rights is an acknowledgment of rights and does not give people their inherent rights. However, even in the U.S., freedom of speech and press include limits. People who libel others can be taken to court, you can’t yell fire in a crowded theatre, etc.

  7. LRH also fair gamed non-Scientologists who mocked Scientology.

  8. Hi,

Thank’s for the link! Incredible stuff .

Have you seen this one – I hope they did not make American Cancer Society spent AMERICANS’s MONEY for legal operations against the CO$ instead of being spent for THE CANCER RESEARCH AND TREATMENTS ..
    I HOPE..

    Operation Smoke

Operation Smoke was an infiltration campaign carried out against the American Cancer Society, which had issued an alert in October 1966 warning that it had “found no evidence that treatment with the E-meter results in any objective benefits in the treatment of cancer in human beings.”[30] In 1973, the GO initiated Operation Smoke “to see how much ACS has been doing against Scn [Scientology] … indications fairly active .. At this time we have operatives in their national headquarters (N.Y.) and in the following states: Massachusetts, Nevada, Cal. — which should provide ample information.”[31]

The Guardina Office was really busy in ”stopping the suppression onto the entire planet” ;D

  9. Caliwog, New to your board. Not into all the discussions. I am into Rathbun though. I have my reasons. He’s a scammer and a slammer and he did some vicious shit on me and I have a V-hobby on him. I’m somewhat plugged into his camp. I’ve cross so many lines into his camp that I don’t know who’s an OSAite, hackers, wackers, an OSAbot, FBI, Anon, etc. The latest scoop–Rinder is going to be a granddaddy–his mistress is pregant per someone inside his house. There’s one thing that caught my interest last week and was that email that went around Marty’s circles, then WWP, ESMB and then landed on your lap–the leak. At first hMaty said that someone hacked into his site then later said no the screenshots that were posted on Photobucket were a forgery. I know the shit hit the fan on WWP as someone in that camp was leaking IPs of Anons to Marty. That caught my attention. Whatever, I did my own Sherlocking and there is a leak in Marty’s camp and those Photobucket screenshots are the real McCoy. I have suspicions of who the leak is within his camp and I would like to speak with the person. I saw that this LT poster sent you the email. I have my suspects. That Mareka James girl. I hear she wanted to sell data to OSA for 3/4 million. Maybe that is bullshit that Rinder told someone but I see that she got kicked out of Rinder’s house. Her boyfriend Broussau is suspected to be an OSA spy so Rinder and Rathbun don’t trust him. I like to know if you know the real identity of who LT is. It is whispered amongst Mike Rinder hangoners that it was someone at their 4 Jul celebrations. If you know who this “deep throat” is? Sorry for the no return address but that’s the way it is. As I said, I have a personal thing with Rathbun and since it is my hobby, I like to speak with this mysterious LT. I don’t see why it has to remain a mystery. What this person posted was the real thing and so I like to speak with this person.

  10. VT – I haven’t a clue who LT is, and I’m trying to stay out of that whole mess.

    ML,
    Caliwog

  11. Outside the context of what I pointed out, you guys are right, there is a contradiction there.

  12. OTDT and Johathon, I really appreciate you guys joining the conversation. The more viewpoints we have, pro and con, the better for everyone.

    ML,
    Caliwog
